The AirCurve 10 CS-A PaceWave is a special sleep therapy device for stabilizing breathing in central sleep apnea, mixed sleep apnea and periodic breathing. Since breathing can alternately slow down, accelerate or stop completely in central sleep apnea, the specially developed PaceWave algorithm in particular offers enormous advantages in treatment. The treating doctor can determine whether it is central sleep apnea or obstructive sleep apnea caused by a blockage in the upper airway. However, in some cases both forms of sleep apnea are present. This is exactly where the AirCurve 10 CS-A comes in, as it offers the possibility of treating both forms of sleep apnea.

 

The PaceWave algorithm with the AirCurve 10 CS-A


The AirCurve 10 CS-A sleep therapy device uses the previously mentioned PaceWave AL algorithm, which was specially developed by ResMed to automatically adapt to the respiratory flow, the respiratory pressure and the positive airway pressure with every breath and to stabilize breathing with every breath. All of this happens fully automatically and ensures extensive therapy options and pleasant treatment for the patient. The ASV mode, which is also integrated, allows manual setting of a constant EPAP for optimal opening of the airways. The AirCurve 10 CS-A also uses a radio cell to transmit alarms and creates additional security.

 

Extensive functions and accessories for the CS-A AirCurve sleep therapy device


Like all AirCurve devices from ResMed, the AirCurve 10 CS-A also has the Easy Breathe Wave function to simulate the natural breathing flow and make breathing even more comfortable. The Air Curve is also compatible with the HumidAir humidifier and the ClimateLine Air hoses for CPAP machines to adjust the temperature and humidity during sleep therapy. Extensive alarms, e.g. for high leaks, low minute ventilation, low oxygen saturation or a non-vented mask, enable maximum safety and more individual therapy in the AirCurve 10 CS-A ParceWave.
