ResMed Apnea Link Air - sleep screening for at home

The ApneaLink Air is a sleep screening device for at home. To diagnose sleep-related pauses in breathing, both for treating physicians and patients, ApneaLink provides an easy way to provide reliable data from nocturnal sleep therapy. This means that ApneaLink can partially replace a visit to the sleep laboratory and allows you to avoid multiple stays in the clinical environment through effective screening at home. In addition, ApneaLink is significantly more cost-effective, both for health insurance companies and private patients.

The CPAP diagnostic device ApneaLink Air records all five values essential for making a diagnosis: breathing effort, pulse, oxygen saturation, nasal respiratory flow and snoring. Once the measurement has been completed, these values can simply be sent digitally to the treating doctor to determine the diagnosis and therapy.

Sleep screening at home instead of in the sleep laboratory

All diagnostic data can be transferred not only as a file, but also digitally or via the online cloud. The simple handling, with the new, intuitive start/stop button, a storage capacity of up to 48 hours as well as reliable feedback when connecting sensors make the application easy and familiar.

How does the Apnea Link Air work?

The CPAP diagnostic device, the ApneaLink Air, is the precursor to staying in the sleep laboratory with a CPAP device such as the AirSense 10 AutoSet. The ApneaLink is worn around the neck or using a chest strap while sleeping. The connected sensors are placed on the body and essentially determine oxygen saturation. This is the crucial factor for breathing. If this stops, the oxygen saturation in the blood immediately drops. This data, along with pulse rate, breathing effort, snoring and sleeping position, is recorded and gives doctors an effective look at whether sleep apnea is likely. If the suspicion is confirmed, sleep diagnostics are then carried out in the laboratory, usually with a sleep therapy device, which can then also confirm the suspicion with sensors. The ApneaLink Air is the first, gentle way to a confirmed diagnosis. Gentle especially because the diagnostics can be carried out at home.

ApneaLink Air and AirView – sleep screening digitized

The AirView software is a screening platform developed by ResMed for sleep diagnostics with the ApneaLink Air and allows the most important features for detecting sleep apnea to be evaluated online both at home and in the sleep laboratory. The software can be downloaded when you purchase the ApneaLink Air and used free of charge. It enables immediate online access to the analysis results from anywhere and allows authorized persons such as doctors to read out all important patient data before their stay in the sleep laboratory. Not only individual values for a patient are recorded. Thanks to the integrated database, the AirView can also summarize several patients and therefore also supports the use of the ApneaLink Air in the sleep laboratory. With AirView you always have all the ApneaLink Air data in view.

Special features of the ApneaLink Air CPAP diagnostic device:
